The stuff sent in the mail would never get into a jail anymore (for the most part) before anything gets to an inmate it is thoroughly searched. A lot of the shanks the inmates make themselves inside jail…they are very creative. People smuggle all this stuff in up their butt. I just heard a story about an inmate who smuggled in a a bag of pot, tobacco, a pipe, rolling papers, tattoo needles and ink, all at one time in his butt. He even made it through the strip search, the stuff wasn’t found until it was spotted in his cell at a later time!
